Hello. As I mentioned in my intro, I have a son who has been diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome. He began to show signs as he started attending school; focusing on 1 main interest (dinosaurs), side by side playing, lining things up & robotic speech. We knew others who had children who had been diagnosed with forms of Autism & were beginning to wonder. My husband was in complete denial at first. Our son's first grade teacher was the one that made the difference. We were very blessed to have her as his teacher. The school tested him & we took him to a specialist for medical testing; both came back with the same results. He has since been in speech therapy where they have helped his speech & social interaction. He has made tremendous progress in those & other areas. We are so very proud of him. I will discuss in further posts some of the different things we have gone through over the years.
